What We Do
Every car gets the same care. The work scales to what the car needs.
Some projects are full bare-metal restorations that take most of a year. Some are subtle corrections to a finish that's almost there. We approach both with the same standards — the only thing that changes is the scope.
Service 01
Full Restoration Paint
Best for: Cars going from rough or original-paint condition to show, museum, or driver-quality finish.
What's Included
- Complete disassembly and trim removal
- Bare-metal strip (media blast or chemical, panel-appropriate)
- Rust repair and panel straightening
- Epoxy primer, build primer, block-sanding to a true straight surface
- Sealer
- Hand-mixed color, sprayed in climate-controlled booth
- 3–5 coats of premium clear, baked
- Color-sand and polish to final gloss
- Reassembly with new gaskets, weather strip, and trim as needed
Service 02
Color Matching & Factory Restoration
Best for: Owners who want the original factory color brought back exactly — including the way it's aged.
What's Included
- Original color code research (factory tags, build sheets, marque registries)
- Sample analysis from protected areas of the car
- Spectrophotometer color matching when sample is available
- Custom-blended formula, archived in our records for future matching
- Period-correct sheen and metallic flake size
Factory paint codes are starting points, not formulas. Pigments fade, manufacturers change suppliers, and a 1967 code mixed today rarely matches the car it left the factory on. We blend to the car you have, not the chip in the book.Learn More
Service 03
Custom & Commissioned Color
Best for: Resto-mods, hot rods, and owners who want a color no one else has.
What's Included
- Color development consultation — references, mood, lighting conditions
- Test panels sprayed and reviewed in sun, shade, and shop light
- Final formula archived with the project
- Single-stage, basecoat/clearcoat, candies, pearls, and multi-stage finishes
We start with a conversation, not a swatch. Where will the car live? What's the interior color? What does the car need to do — turn heads at a show, look right at a coffee meet, or photograph beautifully? The color is a decision the car has to live with.Learn More
Service 04
Spot Repair & Panel-Matching
Best for: Existing high-quality finishes that have been damaged in one area.
What's Included
- Color-match to existing finish using spectrophotometer and visual review
- Blend repair — feathering color into adjacent panels for invisibility
- Clear blend and polish to match surrounding gloss
Not every paint job can be spot-repaired invisibly. If the existing finish is too oxidized, off-color, or aged, we'll tell you that and recommend the right approach instead.Learn More
Service 05
Engine Bay & Chassis Refinishing
Best for: Concours-prep, frame-off restorations, or owners who want what's underneath to match what's on top.
What's Included
- Frame and chassis refinishing in correct gloss level (often satin or semi-gloss for period correctness)
- Engine bay color — body-color or factory-correct semi-gloss black as appropriate
- Suspension component refinishing
- Inner fender, firewall, and trunk pan refinishing
Service 06
Pre-Auction & Show Prep
Best for: Cars heading to Mecum, Barrett-Jackson, RM Sotheby's, Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, or similar venues.
What's Included
- Final color-sand and polish to peak gloss
- Detail and correction of any minor finish issues
- Documentation package for auction listing
- Coordination with transport companies
Service 07
Consultation
Best for: Owners doing their own restoration who want a professional eye on color, prep standards, or paint system selection.
What's Included
- Shop visit or video consultation to review the project
- Recommendations on materials, sequence, and approach
- Color planning and formula development
- Hourly rate, no minimum commitment
How We Quote
Every project starts with a conversation and, when possible, an in-person inspection. We don't quote from photographs alone for restoration work — we've seen too many cars that looked good in pictures and revealed surprises in the booth.
For spot repair, color matching, and consultation, photographs are usually enough to give a starting estimate.
