Pre-Auction & Show Prep
Best for: Cars heading to Mecum, Barrett-Jackson, RM Sotheby's, Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, or similar venues.
Auction and show presentation is a different discipline from restoration. The question isn’t whether the paint is correct — it’s whether it photographs at its absolute best and holds up under the scrutiny of a concours judge at arm’s length.
In the weeks before a significant event, we bring the car’s finish to its highest possible state: a final wet-sand cycle, multi-stage machine polish through compound, polish, and finishing glaze, followed by a full detail. Any minor surface issues — micro-marring, water spots, isolated swirls — are corrected in this process.
We also prepare the documentation package that auction buyers and judges increasingly expect: a written account of the paint system, the color formula, the work history, and the inspection results. A car with a documented finish history commands attention in a way that an undocumented car — even one that looks identical — simply doesn’t.
