Custom & Commissioned Color
Best for: Resto-mods, hot rods, and owners who want a color no one else has.
A commissioned color begins with a conversation about the car and the owner. We ask about the environment the car will live in — garage queen, weekend driver, show circuit — because color reads differently in direct sun versus overcast daylight versus artificial light. We ask about the interior, the chrome, the wheel choice. Color doesn’t exist in isolation.
From there we develop test panels. Not swatches from a book, but full-size sprayed panels that let you see how the color behaves at distance, in motion, and under different light sources. We typically go through several iterations before an owner signs off.
Every formula is archived permanently. Candies, pearls, multi-stage finishes — anything we develop is documented to the level of detail needed to reproduce it years later.
