Spot Repair & Panel-Matching
Best for: Existing high-quality finishes that have been damaged in one area.
Spot repair is the most technically demanding service we offer on a per-square-foot basis. The goal is an invisible repair on a finished car — no witness line, no color step, no gloss mismatch. That requires the matched color to be correct not just in formula but in application: the same spray technique, the same clear depth, the same polish finish.
We start with a spectrophotometer reading of the existing finish, cross-referenced with a visual assessment under multiple light sources. Metallic and pearl finishes require additional attention — the match has to hold at every viewing angle. We spray test panels against the car in daylight before committing to the repair.
We’ll always tell you honestly if spot repair isn’t the right solution. Some finishes — heavily oxidized, previously resprayed in the wrong color, or simply too far from the car’s original standard — are better candidates for a full respray than a blend repair.
